Today, representatives from Samaritan’s picked up over 180 shoeboxes destined for children from deprived areas all over the world. These simple shoeboxes contain a selection of gifts from basic necessities such as toothbrushes and pencils, through to footballs, watches and cuddly toys. Let’s face it everyone loves a cuddly toy at Christmas, and these children are no exception! For many this will have been the first present they have ever received! Each box has been lovingly packed and contains a personal letter and photograph of the family sending the gifts.

Since 1990, more than 178 million children in over 160 countries have experienced the joy of receiving simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Home and office storage have been a collection hub for Samaritan’s Purse for many years, and look forward to continuing to provide this service for many years to come.
